I love you
Three words that say I do. That say in the sunset apricot, I have you, want you. Pull you in tight and tighter still. Still want to be with you, in you – into your eyes – the deeper, primordial spot that is the dark, is the you and the all. The one falling into nothing – into the great unknown and I shudder in my sleep like you have jabbed me – like I must be reached out from across a great distance – the heart in flame, fragments of me shivering as your heart pierces - as the great love has its way in me – a thousand songs and joys have made their way to me and the wind is so strong the helicopter could not make its passage across the bay – the mechanics failed and the wind took over – blowing it into fire on the hill side - My surprise and delight at the sight of its destruction – the privilege of witnessing the demise of something so useless in the face of the great force – the great wind blowing through me is destroying all that cannot be true anymore – all of me is turning, the great turning – the axial age upon me and then, then I glimpse you. Your power - pleasure and great strength that comes from your portal of love – the hollow bone that you are singing in strength. I long, pant for thee - for the aliveness that mirrors in my own deep heart – the places of unrest are being sold and bought and sold again. The dove of holiness a bird of price that has me in thick thrall – over and over – diving down and coming up for air – hair upon my face, sweat in my eyes and the tears - the tears that have finally come for me – set me free from the mind thrall, set me free with thee over the tops of mountains a new wind is blowing – a new song on my lips – surging up from my heart – this very love they once talked about.
