This pink blue hue - this you and me do - draw our
most intimate masterpieces inside our hearts
Have our children crying, crying, wanting to be held
while part of them is dying
I can’t help but wonder, wonder how this
could unfold. What can I imagine?
Imagination is what it takes in a
world of screens and heart ache.
In a world of worry and dead ends
Imagination is what saves the day.
So,
Daydream - take time to think and write
write down what one day someone might
take and riff off - like reading Mary Oliver’s poems
- I might just start a wilderness school for
souls - because she wrote something down
because, David Whyte’s words cut into my
aching heart and said something I was dying
to hear. My imagination is aroused.
She is promiscuous - doesn’t have a husband.
Can lie where she wills
and no ill will come of this pen on paper
in any land - with any one
but you - you are the she of my
imagination right now - have been gifted
back me another season - another chance
to deepen
to go where no one really goes
all the fuck boys and fuck girls can
talk and be smarmy - but there is another
depth we are attempting to plumb.
It is an ocean of life -
It is the honest look at all our shit - all
of our love, all our freedom - and somehow
we are doing it, together.
