Heart map, heart hurt - hurts here. Right here. Centre the arrow - centre fire - let all the 1,000 fires burn till only one remains. Till only you remain. You in me. The me of me - the utter stillness of a void gone quiet. Do you hear in the trees - in the late afternoon? The early night - creatures vying for attention - their flutters, snorts and grunts - as each one finds a place to belong. That is where I belong. Where I find my song, my way to be even here - amongst the flowers and the grass, even here - the quiet and sometimes lonely place. Here.Where I lay down my head and am at peace - where the longings of my heart cease and the burdens can rest their full weight upon this good ground. Do you see what is here? Quieter still, stiller than the babe - this is not sleeping. This is full awakening. This is what I bring to the table - full, full of feasting and joy, full of a kind of temperance that requires no asceticism.
The heart thumps. It feels you and my pain around you. Is somehow more resolved as you put it. Yet ready at a moments notice to say yes to you. I want to say yes to you.
Once, one day, perhaps you will find a way to respond the same.
Till then, this heart will go on, go on - stronger and more broken than ever.
