After the rain

The rain seems to know that once the sun comes up - it’s time to rest - time to let the land lubbers trudge about, fly, do their land things. The rain rained itself hard all night my daughter said - bucketed down - but upon the early light she has gathered in her wet skirts and found other things to do in the sky.

I walked with Grace upon the early morning garden paths - we watched the chooks taking plenty from the still sodden soil - she pointed to a pink rainbow and together we admired the genius of Matt & Kath for painting the house red - it goes with this light filled territory - reflecting, refracting, coming upon and back on itself - the sun in all it’s dimensions is giving us life - inspiring our souls to creative endeavours and just pure giving pleasure.

Thank you early morning, thank you land of old, thank you wild, wondrous mountains and wide open sky.
