I stepped inside the kitchen to find black bird.
Caught unaware she flew against the window.
Stop did I - eye her, black bird eye.
All the world ceased and checked in with this creature of great importance.
She brought me back to wonder.
The wonder of this moment - Pregnant with the meaning of the
vast empire expanse universe
Found, in that one
b-e-a-d-y eye
Pointing me in the direction of silence and stillness.
Enabling her to depart
pitter patter - claw feet on wood board,
ease-fully out the front door
Every now and again, and more often than usual
I see her - look up from my silent meditation and get the full force of her
naked wildness
Just hopping by -
Bless my blackbirds -
Every beak, and tender glances
They open my heart to similar things - We are all pointing at the things
that makes us
most happy and alive.
