Musings of an open mind

I walk out

I walk out like white light

from a dark and dying body

like a figure only of pure energy

from a state of old pain.

I leave behind

an old life

to begin the new

Courage to take the

first step

when all the noise of my

risk manager is

screaming not to

I walk on

through a corridor of

gleaming faces

through a transitory state of grace

To what is waiting on the

other side

My body now prepares itself

both for the death

and the new life to come

This imagination

longed for is in play

It is what I’ve wanted.

To risk,

to hazard myself for

a woman,

a work,

and a soul I know

is finding its way home.
