Fire in the hole

When I say I love you, I mean it – like really love who you are to me. Personal – close in and vulnerable and intimate – like kin. Like those you wake up next to your whole life – like brothers and sister. You mean a lot to me and I don’t even know you yet. Don’t know how you relax into the ground of every setting – how you hum as you make and clean – how you get lost in yourself and in life. I do not know you – but I love you. The nails you painted are reminding me that my life is different – is turning a different way – a constellation shift as your star path crosses mine and a sort of alchemy in the sky has arrived. I can only wonder as I bide my words – not wanting to be brash or too quick to convince you that I am worth your investment – or that I – in my own folly won’t accept the tremendous gift in front of me - but knowing somehow – from the boy in me, that joy and happiness is mine – is a sort of right that every human is born with, has the capacity for – so – love – pull you closer – want to go deeper – extend to you a longer arm that says stay – stay and become my part – part of much bigger whole – the whole world is waiting – yes I can see – you are waiting to bloom – and what a privilege to watch by your side as you shine into the sun light of your life – but this too can happen alongside this – this becoming fuller and growing with what is growing, changing, opening in me - this love – this bounty we have stumbled upon – this fire that we have lit and now burns hot and sparky under the June full moon – beckons to your glowing face that now is the time to confide in a deeper truth that lets space grow where fear only used to be - where we can both astride each others legs, hold on to what is sacred and blessed – sacred and blest.
