Heart Ventricles

Pumping blood, my blood, everywhere – completely stable and safe – the coronary arteries clear, clean and strong – ringlets of that fluid moving at perfect intervals as I wade through time and space – no time - so much space. Your face – I love to hold your face – love to know the heft and weight of you – feel a force come alive in me because you are larger than the life I know – add something I was before missing. Missing this piece I pierce through to the heart – the trunk of the tree of me – my cambium layer soaked in juice – the fibres pulling up everything that has life – ready to grow – ready to be the crowning splendour of the forest canopy - coming home to me – take your hand in mine and walks us both home – love walks us home – to be walked – to be beside – to marvel together at the landscape of our souls - to be taken over by beauty – to weep afresh at the mountain side – to be wet with one another and the great unknown – the great she – beckoning on and further in – her delight in our sight of each other – the brother, sister, mother, father home fires burning. Peat and cottage leprechauns and the faery people – down under in this land – with a new top soil – they speak here are alive to what move in us – gird under our feet and make us as fleet footed as the deer. Wait my love, wait here with me – do not go – not fly away from this new home – be at home – make home – be alone yes and be with me. For in this space of trees, rock, water and bones is the un-deserving praise of that we didn’t know before - a betrothal to love in its cosmic force – the tragedy is – the real tragedy is to have met someone one who you can burn with and not burn – burn all the way through to the golden core of existence – the depths plumbed because there were two of you, not just your one.
