All the parts

I love all the parts of you that you don’t even know yet.

I looked in the mirror last night before bed and saw eyes I hadn’t seen before. I opened my mouth to say I love you and you told me about this other part, or parts that want to come through, that are coming through. Who are you? Genuine interest and curiosity. I do not know myself as well as I think.

Do not go into the cellar - down the steps to where the boogie men creep. That terror in my chest being chased by a werewolf up the garden path after collecting firewood as a youth is coming back and this time I’m curious - what did I leave back there? What wild and riotous creatures are longing to play with me? I sense my boredom with playing safe - I feel called to take the men’s circle to the river - to bathe naked under moonlight - to let ourselves be changed by the wild through direct experience.

This land, lands you. Has a presence you wouldn’t find ten years on a meditation cushion - fair pulls the nature out of you so you can be free. And I’m not stopping there. The fire’s role is to mesmerise - to take us into esctatic trance - we may dance - we may chant - we may clack the old bones and drum on tight animal skins. I don’t know - its just that this is all happening and I didn’t do a damned thing. I just said yes - the rest is stuff and nonsense.
