I love you. I love you, Rwanda. Your red brown earth – your faces, your people, your coffee, your struggle. Struggle, struggle. You are an example to me of pushing beyond all pain and struggle to find yourself. What have you discovered? Being such a young person in the world of men and power dons? What are you feeling now that some dust has settled? Some feelings have bee resolved, some injustices seen to? How do you mature? Grow up? Become what you know you are made to be: A beacon, a stronghold in the midst of a continent, a vast land of turmoil and takeover? Please tell me some of you secrets - your darkness I may no be able to take – but how you beckon to emerge – emerge – merge with the past, with the love of the mother, with the power of the father you didn’t have – with the immense loss that towers over you telling you to stay down – and you refuse. Refuse to be used. Refuse to be someone else’s pawn, for someone’s gain, someone else’s fall guy. You. Stand. For the longest time – just staring into space. Do not know what to do – feel – do not. Go – move your body – running is the only thing to do when it gets like this – control the only thing you might have control over – run through rain, through clay on your feet – through hills, rain, black and grey – away, away from the people who are faceless to you – faithful to you is this: MOVE - Dance you way into a new being, a new you. Did you know this existed? To dance? Follow me. Follow your people towards movement and find what has been lost, been lurking in every corner of yourself, dying to come out and show itself. Your own clay body – from the pit of death has somehow arisen to sow new ground – plant a new life – from what you felt was certain death a page, a tremendous page has been turned – you – are on a different way, you have stayed your course, held your ground – and that makes all the difference in the world.
