There among the branches, before the wasps come out are my fingers reaching for jewels.
These, the red flesh oozing from their glistening heads. These, my beauties.
The plump aubergine skin giving way to my fingers squeeze.
In this first light everything is a delight. The pheasant shrieks over the fence and runs into hiding - Everything is just as it should be - and I am in a magical wonderland.
how I love this place. I think of you. Your enjoyment with me makes it larger - carrys on the feeling when i am not noticing it. WE carry nature in our imagination. SHE needs our thanks to carry on. And so I do, thank you nature. Thank you love - thank the cold dawn of this perfect Autumn day. It has awoken the child in me and I want to play.
Swing you round the kitchen, wrestle you on the bed.
Run you a bath when the day is done - or just because a bath is nice at any time of the day. And there we will eat these buxom fruits - burst their flesh into our mouths - mouth with delight - oh, with delight.
