Gift
Gifted, means with pleasure and generosity given – receive the gift that is given you and keep giving it – it is the way your well stays clear and cold – vibrant and shot through with vitality. To not give your gift is to be silent – is to be in bed, sullen and hidden. So hidden. The dark is a friend yes – to all that must be birthed in the dark – but also an enemy to the wild and riotous life you are living – the choice is yours today. To do - to give your gift – to be as satisfied as you can be at days end because you let nothing come between you and your purpose for being here. What is you purpose? Why are you here? What do you want to give? You already know and you dig deeper in by practice - just act – do something everyday that moves you towards your purpose. It’s rather feminine – there is no end point of purpose – it becomes you – like the breath of mediation. Longer and deeper till you are your breath – every bit of your life like a rising and a falling – but not dangerously attached to it – remember the rope burn? Yes, so gift giving – like a life habit – just open your hands, turn up to your particular work and the rest takes care of itself – it is a lifetime of felt semblances – of faces and tracing the essential presence of yourself with the other. Super – conscious - mind. That is the divinity – the stick that finds the water – the ground made holy – by your persistent presence. Ah, that’s the gift – the present. Present as. Be. Here. Now. And all that gobble de gook from the US marketing of spirituality. But seriously, you have a work to do. More of a play – you have a play to make with others – like your youngest – so busy being playful with the world – a full bodied giving to his friends – to all who ask: who are you? He knows, is particular, speaks his mind, corrects what is untrue for him – I am so proud of this in him – makes me want to be more me – more of the tree of life standing for all to be safe – to really be themselves, be their own tree.
