 Run the Jewels

 Running the knife through paper to your sound, to the sound of me – the found edge of glee. I run my hands down in simultaneous force – cutting, tearing, gripping the paper edge – gravity and force – gravity and force. There is something deadly serious to this ritual act – to the complete delight of plunging the knives in – deep, and pulling down, down to the ground. I make a door for me – to step through – complete surprise – delight – to have found my Narnia wardrobe – I must disrobe to enter this place – nothing left, nothing on, nothing taken - to get to the other side is complete nakedness. I must find how to be completely myself in the midst of the others – shamelessly, gloriously – myself – my olive tree fruiting eventually for all to see. You see, alone I am on this journey – so alone – lonely at times – but then when I push back into the old ways I find them empty, de-void of what I’m now seeking – to cleanse my palate – to experience the next course and of course thank the waiter for her immense attentiveness - the attentiveness we must take for our own lives – must break past the glass globe that holds our preciousness – must let out that which frightens us, - give it permission to share what it knows, what we need – what we’d be willing to bleed for. All along I had this desire to touch the face of God – all along something in me calls out to Abba – and asks: Am I one with you too? Acceptable? Yes, of course, this palace made for you – the seven mansions of your journey are here for you – waiting – calling in your ability to find true north, be courageous when you least expect it – hold, cleave onto that which is so true for you – you’d rather die than turn from it – it is these sorts of passages the soul desires - nothing else is interesting to it. Nothing else awakens the soul like desire – your intent here is very important – take the paper – do your walk – the rest is up to her.
