When it click into place – the trap set, lock and bolt and the mouse run away – but the play unleashed on the world as the act musters even more than you realize. An act of the will and heart an endeavour that starts close in – is likely to inspire at least one soul, spark at least one other fire. I have been alive for too long to let my fire burn under a bushel. Hide, oh no the old Christian ditty went. I’m gonna let it shine. Don’t let Satan blow it out – I’m gonna let it shine. Shine with a smile – with the sense that I’m gonna make all of this – this muck and mire – soul tears and salt worthwhile. And why not? The spinning globe will spin, we will die and not a moment later another spark begins. Almost out of nothing, that is how it is. So, the question is – do you want to play – play your part at all?! The fibrous grist is here – you are enough – more than enough for your task. Start to practice – hold your own – steel yourself for a moment and go on in – Not in perfection of polish but essentially as you are – that is enough. Cough and splutter, trip and fall – embarrass yourself publicly – and go under someone else’s wheel – it is all part of your great and wondrous moment – before the clock is spent – the last pendulum fall and you - have your leaves and acorns fallen to that one and only fertile ground beneath you? Yes and die and live, ka mate, ka ora - die and live and die and live – these cycles pick up what the cosmic foretold and delivered – you the package – the complete whole part of a much bigger whole – have a soul purpose to image and transpire to life – Do. Do not. Do not try. Do not be tired out by others and their heroics – let your own light shine in the shire it was made for – your own bedded home – where the creatures bray for you – where the sun and moon and stars know you name. Come home to the only place you can – and there let’s begin.
