Loquat tree
She sat there in the dry rain
asking for this final bunch
to be picked
Rufus! I thought
he would love this last remnant
of early summer
Before all that we
leave behind
I cried at the foot
of my eucalyptus tree
this morning
was a goodbye
She has held me through
many a season
of joy
and suffering
Now I go
to a new
nowhere
New people
troubles new
and yet
an open invitation
to life
In such resplendent beauty
I dare not
say no
